Topics: Review of pediatric restorative procedures, including SSCs, SDF, Hall Crowns, Pulpotomies, CVEK pulpotomies, and space maintenance.  Review of pediatric behavior management, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological techniques.

Dr. Aarika Anderson.  A South Puget Sound native, Dr. Anderson earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from California Lutheran University in 2005, prior to attending A.T. Still University- Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine and a Certificate of Dental Public Health in 2009.  Dr. Anderson completed her pediatric dental residency through NYU Langone-Yakima in 2018, in addition to a LEND Fellowship through the University of Washington, gaining the skills to better serve pediatric patients with special healthcare needs and their families. Dr. Anderson is actively involved with the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Program as a Special Smiles Clinical Director.

Dr. Anderson has a passion for advocacy, improving efficacy of healthcare delivery and access to care.  Prior to becoming a pediatric dentist, she spent almost a decade providing comprehensive dental care in a community health setting to underserved populations, including large migrant, immigrant and refugee populations. She continues her passion for providing care to underserved populations by also working as a pediatric dentist at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority treating American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/IN) populations.

A Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Anderson is a member of national, state and regional dental societies and served as the Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry Leadership Intern for 2018-2019.  Dr. Anderson currently serves as President of the Board of the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr Eid

Dr. Hani Eid.  Dr. Eid is a board certified pediatric dentist, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). Dr Eid has a Masters of Science Degree and a certificate of Specialty in Pediatric Dentistry from Tufts University in Boston MA.  Dr. Eid is a Diplomate of the American Orthodontic Society (AOS), and a published author on the use of Nitrous Oxide and behavior management for the Anxious child, and the restoration of Traumatized teeth.

Before starting Happy Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics, Dr. Eid was an assistant professor at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in the Pediatric Dentistry Department, and is currently an affiliate professor with the University of Washington Dental School. Dr. Eid serves as the ABCD champion for Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties.
Dr. Eid serves as a board examiner for American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), and on the board of The Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (WSAPD). 
 
Dr. Megan Miller.  Dr. Megan Miller is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist who loves helping children enjoy their visits to the dentist. While in college at Texas A&M University, Dr. Miller worked as a pediatric dental assistant. She admired how the dentist she worked for could coax even the most timid patients onto the dental chair.  After dental school in Dallas, Dr. Miller worked as a general dentist before moving to Houston for a preceptorship and residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Her training at Texas Children’s Hospital focused on providing dental care for children with special health care needs. At the University of Texas Health Houston Dr. Miller learned restorative, esthetic, and trauma dentistry from leaders in pediatric dentistry. Following her residency, Dr. Miller worked in Austin before realizing she belonged in the Pacific Northwest. A lover of plants, hiking, rain, and occasionally pairing socks with Birkenstocks, Dr. Miller has loved calling Washington home since 2018. Dr. Miller enjoys reading non-fiction, hiking, gardening, and traveling, especially to the happiest place on Earth, Disney!
